Bountiful
Bountiful is about the things we hold—whether in our hands or somewhere deeper within ourselves.
The series began with my fascination with hands and all they can reveal. Hands can nurture, protect, gather, offer, work, and hold on. They can appear fragile and extraordinarily strong at the same time. What they carry becomes part of the story, but so does the way they carry it.
There is a yin and yang running through Bountiful: strength and vulnerability, beauty and imperfection, abundance and loss. A handful of flowers, freshly pulled radishes, a living creature—ordinary things become something more when held close.
Ultimately, these works are less about the objects themselves than about us. About what we gather along the way, what we offer to others, and what we choose—or need—to hold onto.
What We Hold

There is vulnerability in the act of holding something out to another person. What We Gather considers the things we collect and carry through our lives—beauty, experience, loss, and joy—and what it means to offer some part of that to another. The flowers are abundant and alive, yet fleeting, held carefully in hands marked by living. For me, the work is about that deeply human moment of offering: a gesture that asks nothing, yet reveals something of ourselves.
